About Heritage College of Education (THCoE)

The Heritage College of Education is a fast-growing institution located in Unaun, Owo, Ondo State, Nigeria. The college is affiliated with Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, for the delivery of 22 Bachelor’s Degree programmes and the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). It is also accredited by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) to award the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE).

Academic Vacancies

Applications are invited for the following academic positions:

Lecturer I

Applicants should possess:

• PhD in the relevant discipline with at least two years of cognate experience, or
• M.Ed. with six years of relevant experience and a commitment to commence a PhD programme within two years of employment.
• Evidence of scholarly publications will be an added advantage.

Lecturer II

Requirements include:

• PhD in a relevant discipline with one year of cognate experience, or
• M.Ed. with four years of relevant experience and willingness to begin a PhD programme within two years.
• Research publications will be an added advantage.

Assistant Lecturer/Graduate Assistant Training Fellowship (ALT/GAT Fellow)

The college also offers training fellowships for candidates interested in developing careers in higher education.

Assistant Lecturer Training Fellow (ALT Fellow):

• M.Ed. in a relevant discipline.
• GPA that qualifies for admission into a PhD programme at Adekunle Ajasin University.

Graduate Assistant Training Fellow (GAT Fellow):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or PGDE.
• Minimum of Second Class Lower Division.
• Eligible for admission into an M.Ed. programme.

Successful fellows will combine postgraduate studies with lecturing responsibilities while building careers in teaching, research, and community service.

Administrative Vacancies

The Registry Department is recruiting qualified professionals for the following positions:

• Senior Assistant Registrar
• Assistant Registrar I

• Driver

Applicants should possess qualifications relevant to each position, with administrative experience preferred for senior roles. Security Officers should have a minimum of SSCE and relevant experience, while Drivers must possess a valid driver’s licence and at least five years of driving experience.

Bursary Department Vacancies

The Bursary Department is recruiting qualified accounting professionals for the following positions:

Accountant I

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience.
• Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ANAN, ACCA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Accountant II

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as ICAN, ANAN, or ACCA will be an added advantage.

Accountant III

• Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
