Elite Pioneer Program Background
Fudan University, in collaboration with the China Pakistan Economic Corridor Unit, the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, and the Pakistan Study Centre, has strengthened international academic engagement through the “CPEC Consortium of Universities and Collaborative Initiatives.”
As part of its commitment to promoting exchanges and cooperation with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, Fudan University is launching the International Elite Pioneer Program (Pioneer Program). The program aims to cultivate future-oriented international top talents and enhance Fudan University’s influence in Belt and Road co-construction countries.
The elite pioneer program initially identifies five pilot countries: Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Russia, Laos, and Hungary, with plans to expand to other Belt and Road countries in the future.

Elite Pioneer Program Significance

Study Period of Elite Pioneer Program
Master’s Programs:
- Academic degrees: Typically 3 years
- Professional degrees: Typically 2–3 years
Doctoral Programs:
- Usual duration: 3–4 years
Applicant Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be undergraduate/master’s graduates eligible to apply for a master’s or doctoral degree at Fudan University
- Be qualified, physically and mentally healthy foreign citizens
- Hold a bachelor’s degree (for master’s programs) or a master’s degree (for doctoral programs)
- Maintain good conduct, comply with laws and regulations, and have no prior disciplinary actions during schooling
- Demonstrate clear learning objectives, a positive learning attitude, and excellent academic performance

The application window is open from December 25, 2025, to February 22, 2026.
