The Precision Crop Protection Laboratory (PCPLab), affiliated with the School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural, and Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Georgia (UGA), USA, is inviting applications for a Graduate Research Assistant (PhD) position starting in Spring 2026.
The selected candidate will be admitted to the Biological and Agricultural Engineering PhD program and will conduct cutting-edge research in Agricultural Robotics for Disease and Pest Management.

✅ Required Qualifications for Research Assistant
- BS/MS degree in:
- Agricultural Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Biosystems Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Computer Science & Engineering
- or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum CGPA of 3.50/4.00.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent research abilities.
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in sensing, AI, or robotics research.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Strong interest in agricultural automation and crop protection.
English Proficiency Requirement
- IELTS: Minimum overall band score of 7.0 (no band below 6.0).
- TOEFL: Equivalent score also accepted.
