The postgraduate scholarship program is organized by the Government of Malaysia and will run for a duration of 24 to 36 months. There are no restrictions based on gender, race or nationality. Eligibility Criteria of the MTCP Scholarship in Malaysia 2026
Applicants must meet the following requirements before applying:
- Applicants from developing countries are eligible
- Applicants must not be older than 45 years at the time of application
- Must possess an excellent academic record with at least a Second Class Upper or minimum CGPA of 3.0
- Minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL score of 60 required
- Applicants whose previous degree was taught in English may submit an official university letter as proof
- Applicants must be medically fit
- Applicants must apply only to eligible universities in Malaysia
- An admission offer letter from a Malaysian university is required
